So, in the Spanish original:
i) There is a blank page on 38.
ii) The note you wrote under Poems Separated… is not there in the Spanish.
iii) (1938-1939) is missing in the Indice in [Cartas].
In the English translation:
i) In actual Letter VII, there are no brackets around VII.
ii) Also, the title page for Letters does not have (1938-1939) as in the Spanish. This is also missing in the Table of Contents.
Those are some of the most apparent ones I could pick out.
Axé.
I am cutting this note, which isn’t quite accurate, for now and leaving it for the introduction.
“Liberty-Equality” and the untitled poem known as “ANTONIO is God” were annexed to the manuscript in 1940. In the manuscript version “ANTONIO is God,” the name ANTONIO was typed in red. “Archaic Reflections on Love” was not part of the Equestrian Turtle but refers to the same period; one line appears in The Equestrian Turtle as an epigraph to the six-poem series beginning “I love love.”
