Rolena Adorno’s 1986 book and Koning on Columbus’ enterprise are going, for faded covers and because I don’t open them any more. They are truly great books and fortunately, not hard to get. So great that I can get them again.
Also, what the heck for tatteredness: Brotherston on Latin American poetry (origins and presence); This Bridge Called My Back.
And furthermore, Matthew Lewis, Journal of a West India Proprietor (he wrote The Monk, too, which I should read), and Richard S. Dunn, Sugar and Slaves.
My shelves are starting to look better, and I am feeling more active, brighter, happier.
Axé.
