Building my study abroad trip

LITERARY TOURS IN AS MANY PLACES AS POSSIBLE–BUT WE KNOW WE CAN HAVE THEM IN MURCIA

  1. Night 1 LFT 12N-Madrid 9A. Through customs, to Atocha, brunch and fast train to Córdoba.
Possible problems: their luggage, getting them onto the RENFE cercanías while tired, etc. Solution: super-prepare them.
  2. Nights 2, 3, 4, 5 Córdoba, with a day trip to Sevilla (one hour each way by high-speed train, on the third day/night 4). Or should we extend time, or divide it differently?
Hotels: Macía Alfaros has a pool and people say it’s needed in summer.
I like the Hotel Mezquita and it is noticeably less expensive with the lack of pool.
There are other options and I can ask around.
  3. Nights 6, 7, 8 Granada. You get there by high-speed train in an hour.
Stay somewhere like Hotel Casa del Capitel, rooms are 100/night but we might get a deal and with 2 people in 1 that is not too bad.
  4. Nights 8, 9 Almería. Get there from Granada by regular train in 2 hours. Visit: Alcazaba, Civil War refugios, Barrio Andalusi, Cabo de Gata, calas, playas.
  5. Nights 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 (Sunday-Saturday) Murcia. You get there from Almería in 3 hours by bus. Visit and do some work at the university: literary tour, cultural tour, maybe sit in a class. Here we are also resting, doing laundry, seeing markets, doing daily-life things like that. Visits to Cartagena / Lorca / Mar Menor beaches as day trips, practice navigating train and bus stations.
  6. Nights 16, 17, 18, 19 Madrid. You get there in 3 hours by high speed train. Day trips to Toledo, maybe others, like Aranjuez.
  7. Night 20 in flight, arrive LFT on day 21.

    Axé.

    Consider:
  8. Madrid hotel H10 Puerta de Alcalá … and there are other hotels, comfortable and in good locations, that will give good discounts, I believe.
