Eduardo Galeano´s famous phrase «the system vomits people» could be applied to academia and I need not explain why. I have just had an excellent semester – the best in years – and I fairly exude joy. But I want to hire and even in this market, which favors me, I appear not to have … More Related to systemic violence
Race walking around the park the runners always say I am good looking but more charming was the humble community agricultural worker, harvesting flowers and berries with me: «Now, if you were my girlfriend, you would have flowers all the time.» Axé.
Answers I gave to questions today included: – No, you cannot get that type and level of Federal funding for individual research in a field in which you have no education or practical experience. – No, what a class collectively pays in tuition and fees is not the amount an adjunct gets paid per course. … More Philistines
Yo. Yo. Con … More Nocturno del hueco II
The above song sings to the 1964-84 Brazilian dictatorship that in spite of it, tomorrow is another day. And in life generally, we had so much advice on how to get things done. I, however, have … More The Devil to Pay in the Backlands
Tudo branco, no tempo. Que limpeza nos resíduos e … More A Vida Passada a Limpo
