Interlibrary loan

It is hard to believe that the book I seek is only in 2 libraries worldwide and that software wants me to request the one in England (held, I believe, in a non-circulating section of the library) and not the one in Texas.

Another book I seek, costs $100 to buy. If it were less expensive, I would buy it.

Axé.

  1. Have you tried searching for the 2-library book by some other term? Author rather than title, or vice versa? I had one of those this summer, which actually was in the Great British Library I was working in, but World Cat claimed it was in two libraries worldwide not including the GBL.

      1. Spelling error in the entry?? Propagated to other libraries through laziness? Very odd. Have you searched the LOC catalogue itself? I’m probably teaching my grandmother to suck eggs, here. E-mail me if you’d like me to look here.

      2. It’s a Spanish translation of a Brazilian short story collection that was very famous and is referenced a lot in secondary literature. It is hard for me to believe it is so hard to see. The original isn’t very easily available either.
