Was the Polish Embassy of New York within its rights to get NYU history professor Tony Judt disinvited from giving a talk for a community group which rents Embassy space?
Judt’s views on Israel do not coincide with those of the Anti-Defamation League (or of the State Department). The ADL and others put pressure upon the Embassy to have the talk cancelled.
It is very interesting to see how (comparatively) little right to free speech people with Judt’s views have, and how much effort is put into preventing audiences from hearing them.
And no, it is not antisemitic to disagree with Israel. Nor is it is traitorous to disagree with the United States.
