This rating is based on the appearance of the word “bitch” one time. My blog is otherwise 100% clean. I disagree with this, of course. I took the test again and was rated PG because this time, the program picked up the word “sex,” used twice.

It is also interesting to note that the search term which most often leads people to this blog is “lacy underwear.” That is a phrase I have (or had) used exactly once, although now I have used it twice. The next most common search term is “O Sole Mio,” followed by “Letter from Birmingham Jail.” Common as well are “What does Sak Pasé mean?” and “Mulatos de Esmeraldas.”

The link to the picture in the Mulatos de Esmeraldas post says this: “Regional blackness as a force of self-liberation in Ecuador begins in Esmeraldas, and its origin occurs during a violent tropical storm and a movement of African rebellion.” I wonder: could the violent tropical storm we had here still deliver us some regional Blackness as a form of self-liberation? A maroon republic, perhaps, not bound by colonial economies and social formations?
