Chris Dodd: The Differences are Real

It is my intention to vote for Dennis Kucinich in the Democratic primary if he is still a candidate by the time the primary comes here. I would like to underline that Clinton, Edwards and Obama all equivocate on the possiblity of our leaving Iraq. For this reason I will vote for none of them in the primary.

I have not decided whether I can vote for any of these three, if one of them should turn out to be the Democratic candidate. And people say it is heresy not to concentrate upon mobilizing against the Republicans, but I am interested in mobilizing against policies; if Democrats institute the same policies as Republicans, then voting is not about policy but only about power.

When asked whether, as President, he would end the Iraq occupation in his first term, Christopher Dodd simply said “Yes, I will get that done.” He is also speaking out about ending torture and restoring habeas corpus. I’d vote for that.

Axé.

  1. Yes, I’ll be voting for Kucinich in the primary – as I did before – he rolled through Irvine last time and spoke to about a hundred of us in a rec center. he impressed me – smart and willing to speak truth, as they say, to power.
