How strange! All that grand Spanish architecture, those wide avenues, the simple dwellings of the residents, and a sensation of emptiness and loneliness. Or is that too subjective a reading to be worth anything?
That’s an intriguing perception. One could say it is the combination of the nostalgic waltzes – typical Lima music – and the old pictures, all put together by people feeling lonely for the old city. But then nostalgia is also a Lima trope.
