Trailer Thursday: The Times of Harvey Milk and Occupation 101

The 1984 documentary is available at Amazon, where you can watch a clip. Now there is also Randy Schilts’ book. I recently saw the new Milk at the Fairfax, which is in Marin County – one of the right places to see the film for me. I got to follow the original Milk events at close range since I lived in the East Bay while they unfolded. Now I want to see the earlier documentary.

Also to be seen is Occupation 101, straight from Gaza. Israel and the USA are terrorist states.

Axé.

  1. I was just about to post that I watched the doc in pieces on YouTube, but hulu is much better! It’s great to see both films in tandem.

  2. I just feel so terrible. I’m awake at night and sleep in the daytime, just really disturbed. It hits me hard as a mother and grandmother to see this. When you think of how fragile children are.

  3. O excellent, Hulu! I have to start watching Hulu.

Hattie – rest, it puts you in better shape to work against this lunacy. Why to rest: it’s bad but you know, more bad things are happening elsewhere, we just don’t see them as much. The Rio de Janeiro slum known as “Gaza” apparently has a much higher rate of children killed per day than the real Gaza. All of these things need to be worked on and as Americans one of the things we can and should work on is this Gaza situation. (It looks like even here we’re having a march today … can you believe it?!)
