Through a Glass, Darkly Wednesday: On Positivism

Long ago I was reading an essay by Ernesto Sábato on José Ingenieros; I lost both my thread and the book. My notes resemble a poem, but are not yet one. I would like to find and read the essay, return to that barrio in Mexico City, and write the poem.

For Ingenieros logic and morality
are all a result of psychology
think of the rationale behind giving drugs for depression
see how the anti-Positivist reaction resembles the anti-Enlightenment reaction
I always am amazed when people actually believe the Enlightenment caused colonialism
it is especially obvious of course in here Mexico
that it was not that but
my current neighborhood is a result of Positivism
a struggling thing

Axé.
