Have you ever seen any Carlos Mayolo films? I just saw Carne de tu carne and was not impressed — I get the point, the bourgeoisie are vampires and their crimes have been covered, but the directly Freudian La mansión de Araucaima sounds more original and also funnier. What do you think — and have you seen any of Mayolo’s shorter films?

Haven’t seen any of his films and, to be honest, I had to look him up to find out who he was. Probably a reflection of how bad distribution of Latin American films is throughout the whole continent.
