In Ubuntu Linux 11.10, I switched to the US international keyboard and it is blissful so far. I can write é, ¿, and «», among other things, with extreme ease. I have dead keys, i.e. dedicated keys.
I really recommend this. Now, all I need is a keyboard skin for this machine. It´s a Lenovo T-510, theoretically, but it has a numbers pad at the left side.
Do you know how to find a skin for the keyboard and layout I am using?
Axé.
Nice. I don’t know where to find a skin. Good luck.
How about stickers to go on the keys? Like this: http://www.amazon.com/US-INTERNATIONAL-LETTERING-TRANSPARENT-BACKGROUND/dp/B001QC2ZCC
Just make sure you choose the colors to block or not block the regular letters depending on your preference.
AHA, I have ordered them, in great excitement, but didn´t check the colors. We´ll see how they work. They´re cheap, at least. I still want a skin to protect from dust/sand/smog but this is a good start. Thank you!
