Here is how we looked planting cordgrass to help restore coastal Louisiana.
This is fun to do but it is hard work and I suspect it is the light version of working sugarcane. It was like doing squats all day and when I walked into Rouse´s on the way home I realized I had the gait of an athlete or a working man.
My legs were propelling me forward without effort, and my spine held me up in a similarly effortless way. It was as though my entire upper body were actively growing from my waist, like a tree seeking the sun.
Axé.

Nice to feel that way! Is that you in the pic? You look good.
From a distance, that could be me and it is part of why I took the picture, but really she is about half my age and you would really be able to tell in a head shot.

You’re such a wordsmith. I’ve recently taken up biking and this is *exactly* how I feel when I get off my bike and walk after a long ride. I feel I’m gliding, not walking.
Mega-exercise really is the answer.
Thanks for calling me a wordsmith – it gives me hope – I will revise some things and send them out again. 🙂
