In Mexico, as an experiment, I had a lifting facial, costing me $60, and everyone is shocked and says I look nearly 10 years younger. This is in part due to my having gotten a lot of exercise and eaten and slept well, but it is true that the facial got rid of my wrinkles. The effect is supposed to last 28 days.
I have been discussing this and products with other people, and here are my notes.
My esthetician recommends Esthederm, in particular these products:
– Time repair cream: this is supposed to be for the neck, but she wants me to use it on my face.
– Cellular water.
– Concentré cellulaire sérum fondamental.
Meanwhile, my friend recommends these things:
– Osmotics Blue Copper 5; it is cheaper from Amazon than in stores.
– Dr. Perricone.
– Emu oil as body moisturizer … which has a molecular structure close to that of human sebum.
– serum with hyaluronic acid (what skin cells quit producing when they’re sun damaged).
– Facial exercises. There is a book by Deb Crowley; her system is FlexEffect.
So far on this, I have ordered the blue copper, the emu oil and the hyaluronic acid, because these are sold at accessible prices. The book could be a good investment if I am disciplined enough to actually use it. It sounds as though Dr. Perricone and Esthederm are for the rich; perhaps I can find less expensive ways to achieve their results.
Axé.
Very useful post. Thanks.
