This is a brilliant blog, and this is an excellent post in it.
One thing I am going to do with TIME: read in the evening, write in the morning; morning sessions are theoretically 1 hour and evening, 1-1/2 hours, but these can be shortened or divided up.
Monday to Thursday are regular work days; Friday is a writing day but not a reading day; Saturday or Sunday during the day Friday’s reading happens.
That is how I always worked before.
Three things I am going to do with SPACE: reorganize office so that it can function better as a writing space when needed; reorganize cloud files so that I can just pick up from any computer; acquire a side table and ergonomic chair such as to be able to work better at home; and finally, realize there are good reasons why the dining room is the best place to work despite the fact that it “ought not” to be; make arrangements such that this can happen and work can, too.
One thing I am going to do with PLACE: Drive to the neighboring research library Saturdays, and work there.
That, too is something I always did before.
Axé.
I am having a horrible problem with space this semester. I am still living in two places and always being away from where I need or want to be. I think if I could organize time and space together, at the same time, I would be set.
You just need to put your files in the cloud and identify one main work space in each location. (It is easy to tell someone else the solution to their practical problems is easy.)
