Ways in which I am not Hispanic.

I am not Catholic. I am a Mexican, but I am not Hispanic, I am a skull on a Mayan stela, as we know. She who here performs the ancient text, however, was recently called, with appreciation, a “free Anglo-Saxon” because, not having been baptized, she does not fear pagan symbols or associate them, in her intimidad, with the fearsome Devil.

I am not Catholic. I do not enjoy being in a group that clings together like a bed of oysters on a rock, always waiting, siempre pendiente, resigned. I do not like to work by gossip and intrigue. I do not experience badgering as a sign of love and I even tend to forget that it can be just that.

Axé.
