Is anyone here on Linux? I am not really enough of a geek for this but I am on it anyway out of pure rebellion.
Here is the problem with my Linux box: it picks up wireless everywhere but in my house, where it insists on being wired.
There are Linux users groups in Houston and New Orleans, meeting weeknights, too far to go there and back again. There is one in Baton Rouge but it does not appear to be active.
I know someone else, more technically astute than I, who also gave up on the wireless function in Linux.
Does anyone else have this problem? Again, it works everywhere but at home. My current home network was created from a PC using Windows 7 but I had the same problem when the Linux box was the central computer.
There are fora in which this is discussed and I have not yet succeeded in finding the answer to this problem.
