I had this strange sensation Thursday night, of safety. I am not one of those who fear places, but I never felt safe in this town … which is a reason why I have poor concentration. And suddenly I had this feeling come over me.
Friday I filled out my annual report. Now I will write five letters of recommendation, and revise syllabi and websites. I will do income tax.
When that is finished I will start running and writing every day. Perhaps even sooner.
I stayed up late again somehow, listening to records. But that is over, the time of impairing myself through sleeplessness in an attempt to remain calm in a situation that looked dangerous is over.
