I saw this poem in The Nation and was impressed. This is the author and he’s not even from abroad, I thought he would be some fancy person from abroad but he’s U.S. and younger.
I learned in that issue about an Egyptian poet, Iman Mersal. In the end that is why I still subscribe to this magazine, I like their culture and book sections.
(I look at people like these and think, they did something with their lives, how did they get so free as to be able to do something with their life?)
