There was just something so unsettling about it, I assume maturity and good will as a rule and I am always surprised not to find it. One should be more suspicious, perhaps, but I don’t know.
There’s been something deep about this interaction though, somehow related to my mother asking for so much effort and understanding and then crying desperately that it is still not enough or saying coldly and casually oh, I didn’t actually need that, I was just toying to see how far you could be pushed.
I remember how ‘Baki said Ish was reenacting a mother drama with me and others, expressing extreme and desperate needs and then saying coldly that he did not have any needs at all.
