I need to develop thought on catalanisme, Catalan nationalism, its liberating and repressive dimensions. This, and the way brasilidade is articulated and sold (especially in Bahia), would be interesting points of comparison to cajunismo (by which I mean to indicate not Cajun culture tout court/altogether, but the fetishization of it that has been developed and marketed over the past 50 years or so). All of this ties into the questions raised in the book POSTIMPERIAL SPAIN and also to an idea I heard about Francophonie as a kind of recomposition of the imperial body, via reattachment of the former colonies as ghostly limbs. This as project would be very interesting and quite original.
