An old student came by; it had been ten years. She said our workplace is a sad one, that many traumatic events have taken place, but that I look the same as ever and seem happy. I changed her life, she said, by convincing her she could do the professional things she did not think … More Dieci anni
…about the introjected torturer. About the feeling of being imprisoned. You must go back in your box, back in your cage. The way I dissociate ever so slightly with this. Important: who has imprisoned me? I do not think it is the university. I think it is family and friends who imprisoned me here after … More A flash I had
Intencionario.
I would of course love to do a BFA in plastic arts, painting, ceramics, sculpture especially (I would never have known that had I not tried it, I did not like sculpture to look at, very much, until I had a sculpture assignment and to my surprise, really liked it). I woke up this morning very clearly aware of the reason I do not like to wake up: waking up means waking up to the university slapping me in the face and then putting me in a barrel of water and covering it, so that I will drown. I will then have to spend the … More La méditation pour cette semaine
Black Warrior Review takes multiple submissions but some of the places I am interested in, do not. Slipstream does. I am looking at Beloit, which does not and which I like, and also Ibbetson Street, and other places around the Gulf because of some of my subject matter. I am not sure about Slant. In any case, I chose a multiple … More Submit

The best are older: with the unrest time brings, No absolute remains to bind them fast. One scrawls on rock the names of hallowed things, Letters and hieroglyphs that yet shall last When darkness measures with a martyr’s eye The glories shed by life’s unchanging tree. Another, curbing vigour on his page To movement, makes … More The Forge of the Solstice
