I got a Hallmark e-card and tried, but failed, to open it in Windows / Firefox. It appears to have been sent from an operating system set up in a mysterious language. The dialog box said:

I can think of two possible senders for this card: my Esperanto speaking friend – who, nevertheless, normally writes from machines set up in Japanese, or an anonymous Rumanian criminal, attempting to crack my system. I fear the latter, but can anyone tell me what language this is?

It’s Rumanian. In Esperanto it would read:
Depakinte xxxxx.xxx
Ne povis krei xxxxx.xxx
Thank you Virgil! I should learn Esperanto, but unfortunately I am more tempted by Rumanian. When I Google my real name, I find that the only other person in cyberspace who has it is Rumanian.
