J – Marechera is smart. H – I hope you do have time! The store is great, a rabbit warren, not at all yuppie, and prices are decent. It is the kind of place there used to be more of in Chinatown when my grandmother the interior decorator was actively acquiring very interesting items (she was a prized decorator in part because she had such a good eye for shopping in antique, junk, and second hand shops).
Who sits on the chair or is it just to be looked at? Is it comfortable? I admit, it’s an eye-catcher. I would’ve bought it too for my vanity table so that I can use it as I apply make-up.
I didn’t try it out but it’s there to be bought for purposes of sitting on! If I’d had any more time I’d have looked into buying it and having it shipped here…

My mother, too, was an avid “junker.” But I have moved so often that I have not acquired much.
