Our other featured post for today is Incipit, on academia and integrity, by Servetus. Here in Lima there is full sun for once but most of us are suffering from malaise, partly due to winter and smog, and partly due to work and family problems. We are being inspired by Servetus.

Obama’s drift to the right was inevitable. He cannot win with only the progressive vote. Politics is the “art of the possible” and without the center his candidacy would have been impossible.

Nice to see you, Geoffrey! Obama – yes, but he was always centrist, never progressive. Now he is sounding increasingly like McCain, this is my problem. He’s got to do something to differentiate himself for McCain or I am going to jump ship and vote for McKinney!!! Then if McCain wins people will say it is my fault, but I will say it’s Obama’s fault for not offering a clear alternative to the Republican party!!!
