Fascinating. My husband comments on the self satisfied tone of these documentaries, so familiar to us from newsreels and school classes at that time.

Hi you guys – yes, apparently it was great, and I liked it in the early eighties before it got so smoggy and congested and builty up … although people then said it had been better in the sixties … now you have to have real money to live a life that will make you really like it. Tone of those documentaries, yes – I remember it even from school in the sixties!!!
