Oh, but it’s a trope of Cajun music – there are songs like “Dying in Misery,” and everyone is always singing words like “Yé yaille, cher, c’est ça qui me fait du mal.” There was a hilarious competition last night, who could come up with the most lacrimose lyrics, and everyone was laughing while doing it!
