N.B.: my Spanish is mediocre, so I might be misinterpreting your question.
Modern, maybe in as such as people say that the Beatles sound “modern” and that this is the persistent cyclic post-modern moment. Okay, joking a little on that last part. Hmm. I think they must be an acquired taste. I love them, and tried to introduce them to family and friends, but they would have none of it. One would think that for people who love The Doors, The Grateful Dead and the like, that it would be no problem. But I suppose that Brazil (and Portuguese, which they could not recognize as a language) is just too “foreign” and “different” for them to get into it.
Well, when I put this up I said doesn’t it seem current or non-old because it felt breezy and even vaguely techno-y (although I guess it’s really poesia concreta-y when it comes down to it) compared to, for instance, Doors / Dead. But it might really be that I live in the past of music !!!
Techno, yes, I can see that. I was grouping them as more “psychedelic,” which can be harsh-sounding to some (hence my guess that it is the Brazilianness that is putting off family, rather than style).
But it might really be that I live in the past of music !!!
I’ve started a playlist – https://profacero.wordpress.com/playlist/ – tab called “songs”at the top. I wonder what kind of a portrait it will be when it gets larger.
