I found a tree trimmer, made a deal, and withdrew $600 from one of my hidden savings accounts to pay for it. This completes house projects of the greater size, while I work up to (a) half a roof and (b) exterior paint. Each of these is to be paid for by summer teaching plus whatever else I can save or get back from the IRS, in 2012 and 2013.
Now that it will be Easter I will be able to do as much of the following as have time for and can afford:
— finish painting the details
– finish cleaning the yard, including removal of one tree stump
– get the moss off that white picket fence (yes, I do have one such, and I realize it is odd for me, yes)
– solve the mystery of the wireless router
– call a carpenter for the back door and the blinds
– do something about the porch lights
– get new oven racks
– roast a whole chicken with those lemons, seeing how the oven works
– see about another set of good sheets and towels
– see about a set of cups
– see about polishing the silver
– get the kayak rack working and take the boat out
– buy socks
– go to the gym/spa daily
– have my nails done
– have my hair cut
– sign up for the LSAT
– keep to my research and writing schedule
– send off my stories
– watch movies
– sleep enough every night
– mend the clothes
– clean the house
– put a hold on my mail, for my voyages
I might add things to this list, and I might put some projects, including a few that cost money — the porchlights, for instance, and the sheets, towels, blinds, and cups — off until the August break. I would like to buy a lime tree then and perhaps another fruit tree, but I am not sure about planting any trees before hurricane season.
After the roof is finally finished and the exterior paint, and if I do not move, I will finally be able to consider painting the interior rooms which remain, buying kitchen and dining room chairs perhaps, and getting a new bed, desk and chair for that bedroom. Finally, I will put in my farm animals or at least some kittens.
When I have the farm animals or kittens, they will help me rework the flower beds.
Axé.
I met a pretty kitty today in some of the Mayan Ruins and took a photo. I considered taking him back with me but then I thought I might have problems traveling back with him. So, I kissed him goodbye, wished him good luck and kept his photo.
Charming. I want a near eastern wildcat, domesticated. So charming looking and they are the geniuine wild ancestor.

To list: replace gutter, too.
