  1. Spain, Australia, Ireland, Chile, Argentina, Antarctica, Germany, Seattle, Cape Breton Highlands, Quebec City. Istanbul might be nice, but I would want to take a friend. And yes, Iceland, and up in Canada’s Arctic Circle. Sometimes I have dreams about Lucerne, though I am afraid it would not live up to the memory. Pipe dreams, perhaps, but nice ones all the same.

    1. Yes, I’ve known several people who traveled extensively, and right up until the end (or, if not the “end,” then until the onset of serious dementia). V. inspiring, and makes one want to keep one’s health, just to have similar late adventures!

  2. The truth is that life and death can be found at any moment and any place. With age, however, I am becoming a lot less adventurous and I tend to choose places close to home for adventure and enjoyment. Just that. It’s all about seniority.
