Et voilà

That turns out to be one of the types of shoe I am allowed to wear. There is this too, more elegant in person than in the photograph. I tried it on in the store and then ordered it online for $46.

I could not get a ticket for Lincoln, although I tried, and New Orleans is beautiful in the warm fall.

$14 is what they charge for tickets at Canal place now on weekends. Parking there costs money as well, even validated parking, so I walked up to St. Charles from Magazine Street and rode in on the streetcar. It has been running since 1835.

Foiled by the sellout I strolled to Jackson Square, smiling at the mules that pull the carriages; now I am home listening to Malcolm X, who is also from the past. “Don’t call George Wallace a Dixie governor — [George] Romney is a Dixie governor!”

Axé.

  1. Shoe update: the first one is really good. I do not quite recommend the second as it crowds the ankle and mine were also too long, I think you should go a half size down on this one at least. I am not sure what it would be like if it fit the length of foot. These look good but do not convince me because of the way they crowd around the ankle once you start walking.
