This morning I have written 213 words, a very good draft. There are only four sentences and revision will mean turning these into six. I finished at 11:19 and I do not know what time I started. I had gotten up somewhere between seven and eight, had coffee and later breakfast, dealt with e-mail, read four blogs, and done housework. I am not sure when I started writing but I produced these words quite quickly, perhaps even within the 27 minutes Thomas recommends.
Before that, I had done some reading and quite a lot of thinking. I had also made a rough outline or sketch which, as it turns out, I am not following — although it is still useful as a list of points I would like to cover.
Axé.
Nice! Also, this is a nice rejoinder to Boice’s rules (the ones you wrote about).
Rejoinder to his rules, I am guessing so … I like your writers on writing posts better than anything the Boiceans tell me …
Thanks!
