I should read Blogenspiel more often. Perhaps we all should. Not just on the adjunct “crisis” but on the Adler issue and surely, on more.

Easily Distracted also has a good post on the adjunct “crisis.” It is not just new workers vs. artisans, though, I intuit: it is also graduate students against each other, and against faculty.

I remember those days in which people had imaginary battles over jobs. It was another graduate student’s fault; it was the fault of someone who had not retired yet.
