Scenic Highway

We are in the hottest days of summer. This is a good and charmingly quirky video, descriptive of Baton Rouge in many ways. It does not say that the Scenic Highway is also the road that leads to Angola. And I did not know that on it is one of Buckminster Fuller’s most important geodesic domes. I am going to stop in and see it next time I am on the north side of town.

Further up, the prissy town of St. Francisville was once capital of the Republic of West Florida (1810). This is somewhat interesting, but more interesting is the situation of the Jena Six.

Axé.
