All of this took place AFTER Independence and BEFORE the Mexican Revolution. And there is a great deal more to say about MEXICO.
BENITO JUAREZ was ZAPOTEC. He is now 204 years old. He can speak Spanish. (Does this make him “Hispanic?”) Before becoming President of Mexico, he was driven into exile in NEW ORLEANS. He was later supplied with 30,000 muskets from BATON ROUGE to help fight off the French.
