Vegan Thanksgiving

I am considering protesting by having a totally vegan Thanksgiving – one which, unlike other vegan Thanksgivings, does not imitate the sweet and heavy recipes of traditional ones.

I am thinking of steamed wheat berries, ratatouille, and nectarines, or perhaps oranges if my oranges are ready by then, which I doubt. What do you think? What shall we have for Thanksgiving?

Axé.

  1. I usually go to an Argentinean’s friend house who has a Jewish (meal) Thanksgiving. And she is not Jewish. Don’t ask. Until I found her, Thanksgiving was the US holiday I hated the most. So be as sacrilegious as possible.

  2. Yes, I don’t know why people like Thanksgiving. In graduate school we’d have a potluck with gourmet, non Thanksgiving food and cool people and it was fun. You relaxed and then had a 3 day weekend to get a jump on finals and all. Otherwise it seems pretty make-work.
