Online and remote courses

Things I thought about during the summer:

“Flip” it all: start out the semester online and finish in person, have office hours during class hours and asynchronous assignments, have office hours online and hangouts in person.

“Teams,” for reasons I forget, does not work, you should use Moodle.

Think of what your goals are, work back; develop modules; decide what is best to do in class and what is best to do online.

Have classes meet one day with me, and in small groups on their own another day while I am in office hours.

Request the suggested course layout for hybrid/HyFlex courses.

Use the hybrid course blueprint.

For examinations, have students make videos of themselves.

See the official Distance Learning resources.

Axé.
