I am trying to find out where to buy this film by Juan Carlos Valdivia. I saw it in Mexico and did not realize when I went in that the actors and director were in the audience and would reveal themselves at the end, and take questions.
From what I gather now, some viewers resent the film – the issues it treats are “tired” and the treatment is “pornographic.” I am guessing it hits a nerve.

It’s from 2009; I saw it in 2010. I’ve just discovered Netflix lists it, but points out it hasn’t yet been released on DVD.
