Freshmen entering my university have at least a 2.5 GPA and 950 composite score on the SAT (old scale). Requirements for out-of-state and home-schooled students are noticeably higher, but still low. I had a GPA of 3.87 and my composite SAT score was 1410 (Verbal + Math). It is an enormous difference. Axé.
